Referral from Jenny Paulsen

Menstrual Problems
Below is the letter written to me by Jenny Paulsen on 10/04/2000.

"Dr.Roger Powell

I thought that what I have to say since I had my back troubles you would find very interesting. I was told by my GP that I should have a DNC [D and C] -- and then a hysterectomy, as I have been suffering from very bad monthly periods which included heavy bleeding, big clots and nothing less than 10 days. But to my delight, since I have been coming to you for my back problem it has had a very positive effect on my period. For the first time in a long time I had a normal period which was a pleasure and only lasted 5 days. No pain. I am one very happy lady and can't thank you enough for your help and caring. Please feel free to show anybody this letter or call me on 031[5615407].

Thanking you,
Mrs. Jenny Paulsen."

Chiropractic is primary healthcare, not merely sore back treatment as the above clearly shows.

Clinical experience in chiropractic offices indicates that the premenstrual stress and menstrual cramps can, most frequently, be relieved by adjusting the fifth lumbar vertebra only. When the patient presents with a problem of excess menstrual flow, the adjusting of the second lumbar vertebra usually brings the condition under control.

Rationale: The uterus, as well as other visceral structures such as the vagina, and ovaries of the female and penis, prostate, seminal vessels, testicles of the male as well as the rectum and urinary bladder are innervated by the hypogastric plexus from your lower back and pelvis.

"In case of illness , look first to the spine"-- Hippocrates , Father of medicine.
